Effective way to learn C/C++ programming?
Forget web sites, get a good book. There are many decent C++ books. One that is pretty good, and FREE, is Thinking in C++. You can download the 2 volumes and the source code examples at http://www.mindview.net/Books/DownloadSi... or just Google it.

As for compilers, there are a couple of free ones but your best best bet is GCC from GNU.
Reply:As always get back to actually coding. You will have plenty of reading to do when the semester starts.

So write an application that you can get done before the semester starts. So just read what you need to know to make an application that you want now. Pick something reasonable. You might get a free site and publish your work while your at it to boost your chances of getting "Noticed".

If that does not help here is info on refreshing yourself with C++:

On another note I would not waste my time learning any programming language in the U.S. unless you just love programming. If you are going to school for getting a job I hope you like teaching or in general becoming a professional student.
Reply:U can try this site... It may help u for sure... http://programglobe.blogspot.com
