What is similarities between c & c++?

C and C++ are programming language.

What is similarities between c %26amp; c++?
Well, the big similarities are as follows:

- syntax, as both have the same syntax

- grammar, although C++ has a slightly extended grammar (all the OOP features introduce a few new operators)

- code structure

- the compilation is about the same (not 100% sure, but it should be given that syntax %26amp; grammar are similar)
Reply:C++ is C but wraped in an OO (Object Orientated) design structure.

C++ contains all the extra syntax and code to be able to write OO programs where as C is totally procedural.

C++ uses classes to define objects.

C does not use objects.

So the similarities are the language itself and not the way language is used to write software.
Reply:C++ is a super set of C.
Reply:1.c is procedure oriented language.(all the problems are sub divided into small problems. first solve the divided problems and finally combine all small problems to get the original solution).

c++ is object oriented language.(here objects are used to acess any variables to solve the problems).

2.In c all program must contain main function.

In c++ all program must contain two classes- main class and sub class.

3.but both c and c++ contain constructors,destructors,constants,varia... etc.,
Reply:c is ok but around 75%

C++ is probably more like b- which is kinda like an 82%

who cares both suck

I get a's
Reply:In the syntax, they exactly the same. But in the the structure, C is not 100% OOD but C++ is

I cant get a c%26amp;c cage for my new guinea pig that i am getting!?
get that cage. its fine, my cousins put their guinea pig in one of those and its perfectly happy. eventually you might be able to get one of those c%26amp;c cages!

good luck

Reply:Okay, calm down. No need for tears. I don't think anyone is trying to make you "feel bad". You asked for advice %26amp; you are getting it. Sometimes the advice we get may not be what we want to hear. This has happened to me more times than I can count. So LISTEN to the advice you're getting %26amp; don't take it personally. The people telling you to build a C%26amp;C cage are concerned for the health and well being of your pig %26amp; not trying to "hurt" your feelings.

I'm not judging the cage by the picture. I gave you the actual dimensions from the website. The 1st cage is 32"x20", which is 4.46 square feet. The 2nd cage is 39"x21", which is 5.69 square feet. Both are too small.

Lets think about this. The reviews you read are written by the manufacturer of the cage, right? Of course they're going to tell you how great they are for guinea pigs! They want you to buy their product! The pet store employees will tell you ANYTHING they think will make you buy stuff from their store! Thats their job. So what I'm saying is, stop being naive.

If you must have THAT piggie, fine. I realize that you feel time is of the essence or you'll miss getting the pig. So, you can go to WalMart %26amp; get a storage tub for $5 and use this for a temporary cage. It would serve your pig better to put him in a storage tub from Walmart for a day or two %26amp; build him a proper cage, than to waste your money buying a cage thats too small. If you're just worried that you won't know how to build one, relax. They are very simple to put together. I'm sure your mom or a friend would help you.

Don't cry. Its time to be a big girl. Just really THINK about what I'm telling you. Only you can decide what's best for your pig. I'm just giving you my advice based upon a lot of experience.

Wishing you %26amp; your piggie the best.
Reply:the pet store people know what they are talking about. that looks like the cage at my neighbors, and it has plenty of room. it is BETTER to have a big cage but i think that cage is fine. the pet store people wouldnt help you if they didnt know what they were talking about! \

good luck!
Reply:That cage is not big enough.. bottom line. You want your pig to be happy? Then you need an appropriate cage. If you have to get that cage for a TEMPORARY cage until you get the C%26amp;C cage built, that would be fine. Temporary meaning a few days at the most.

*Pet store employees most often do not know what they are talking about. It is their job to sell the store's products. If petstores knew what they were doing, they wouldn't sell sick and dying pets.
Reply:Listen to Justified. We are only giving you advice and that advice may not be what you want to hear but it is the truth. You can use that cage as a temporary cage, you can use the tub (like Justified suggested) or you can get a play pen. If possible go to a baby store and check out their play pens. I brought a play pen for floor time and the one I got you can buy extra sections to make it bigger. It costs more than a C%26amp;C cage but it is just as good.

Really a C%26amp;C cage is the best cage that you can get, many pet store cages are too small and the reviews you are reading are from the manufacturors. They want you to buy their product so of course they are going to say that it is good.

I had to pay $170 so that I could get a big enough cage for my girls but I am happy for that choice I made.

Good Luck!!
Reply:Like the others said above ~ Any way you look at it (unless it's very temporarily) the cage is just too small. (Definitey by no means is it "huge"!)

You say you want your piggy to be happy ~ if you really love him then you won't subject him to living in this cage. You may be able to "fit everything he will need," but he also needs much more space than this cage will provide. And yes, with everything you now know from talking to other guinea pig owners on here, doing this will be the wrong thing. Sometimes doing what's right is really hard.

This cage will be like him living in a toilet, basically. You need to know if he will be happy? The answer is "not likely."

Believe it or not guinea pigs will run full out sprints in their cage ~ if they have space! They need this for their health, too.

As hard as it may be, you may need to pass this little guy up, so he'll have a chance at a better living arrangement. Also, have you looked into animal rescues or shelters close to you? You can even look in your local newspaper or on craigslist.org to find a pigger who needs a new home. In doing this you will help to not support the abuse animals suffer in pet stores.

By the way ~ a c %26amp; c cage does not mean "fancy." It's cheaper for you, better for the pigger.

I wish one of us lived close to you ~ we'd help you out!

What are the F.C.C's Seven Forbidden Words, and where can I read more about them?

I went to the F.C.C's website (www.FCC.gov) and searched their site for them, but never recieved any answers remotely similar to what I was looking for. Any answers would be appreciated!

What are the F.C.C's Seven Forbidden Words, and where can I read more about them?
"The original seven words were, s h it , piss, f u c k, c u n t, **********, ************, and t i t s." (Spaces inserted to override Yahoo!'s asterisk plugger.) Read George Carlin's famous routine at http://www.law.umkc.edu/faculty/projects...
Reply:Then you should be aware that this is somewhat apocryphal. There is reportedly no such actual ruling., though the FCC does block obscenity somewhat. The seven forbidden words is, I gather, an invention of George Carlin. Report It

Reply:Go to the site below, search the page for "The original seven words were" and you will find the original listing.
Reply:Along with the other websites previously offered, George Carlin has his own, and with a bit of seraching you can get his original monolog. Also, he said it on Pacifica Radio, and they had a lot to say about the FCC coming down on them. Check their website also.

Now what's a nice girl like you doing, looking for all this dirty talk?
Reply:Do a search for Geoege Carlin %26amp; his 7 dirty words bit. He explains it well
Reply:The seven words are not listed anywhere -- because the phrase doesn't come from a list that the FCC has -- it comes from a comedy routine by George Carlin in the early 1970s.

I saw him perform in 1973. He did the routine at my college. The seven words that George Carlin claimed couldn't be said on TV are listed at the link below.

Note that this was the early 1970s. I've heard at least three of those words on broadcast television since then (s.h.i.t, t.i.t.s and piss).

Write a program in c/c++ to print a new no. by adding one to each of its digit.?

.if a five digit no. is input through the keyboard .write a program in c/c++ to print a new no. by adding one to each of its digit.e.g. 12391 then output must be 23402.

Write a program in c/c++ to print a new no. by adding one to each of its digit.?
You MIGHT think the answer is as simple as adding 11111 to the number, but that would be incorrect, since 12391 + 11111 = 23502 (not 23402)...

Thus, we need to account for the "9" which (according to the specification) must yield a "0" result and not a "10" (i.e. "carry")...

So...

the code fragment for this would look something like this...

int i, digits[5], input=12391;

/* Extract the digits and add 1 to each %26amp; get single digit answer*/

for (i=4; i%26gt;=0; i--) {

digits[i] = (input%10 + 1) %10;

input/=10;

}

/* print the digits in order */

for (i=0; i%26lt;5; i++)

putchar (digits[i] + '0');

}
Reply:Since there are only 10 digits, easiest way is to create an array of that maps number 0 to 9, to its new value, then iterate through input and get the output from the defined mapping array.

Prove that the above inequality holds for all real numbers a, b and c?

Prove that a^4 + b^4 + c^4 is greater or equal to (a^2)(b)(c) + (b^2)(a)(c) + (c^2)(a)(b)?
the way to start it is by trying (a + b + c)^4 is greater than or equal to 0

Which is the easiest, C+, C++, or java?

I have no interest in computer programming, and I have never done computer programming before. But I am required to take a computer programming course, so, I want to know which is the easiest, C+, C++, or Java? Also, I don't want to spend a whole lot of time on homework for one of this courses. Please tell me why it's easier too.

Which is the easiest, C+, C++, or java?
Java is the easiest. out of those three. You don't have to worry about memory management or pointers etc.

In Java you also have a richer library to work with out of the box. In easy-speak it means, they've programmed all the hard stuff for you, you just have to figure out how to put it together.
Reply:I have done a lot of programming before and have experience with c/c++ and Java. They are all have pretty much the same structure but however there are few differences that make all the programming languages different. Those for example are if they are "low" or "high" level. C/C++ are pretty much the same (C++ is an "updated" version of C) and they are both low level. Low level usually means they are harder to work with for various of reasons such as the "commands" you use aren't that human related. Java is kind of easier to understand but is not that powerful as c++ can be. If you want to be serious about programming take c or c++ but if not go with Java.
Reply:There is no (popular, well-known) language called C+, it's C.

I'm pretty sure C is the easiest: it's a language from the late 60's, early 70's that is still in use. It has been expanded upon and that language was called C++ (the plus-plus part means: increase the value of C by one). And Java is a language that, AFAIK, was made to look like C++ to make it easier for C++ programmers to switch to Java.

I love programming myself, but I can understand why you don't want to take a course in it. It's pretty ridiculous if it has little to do with the area in which you'll be working. I'd hate to be forced to take a plumbing or wood shop class, myself!

I want a mod that can enable skirmish C&C Renegade?

You know like something to put an extra selection on the main menu saying skirmish game and that I will be able to choose maps teams and stuff like that. If not a website that will teach me to make mods for C%26amp;C renegade and other C%26amp;C games. Or a place where there are single player mods to get new weapons, vehicles, units, buildings.

Please no Bull Crap. I'm really need to know where to get these.

Well thats easy, the INTERNET! No but really, I would suggest fan sites, web searching.

flag=1;}

num=sum;

sum=0;

c=0;

}

getch(); }

hi! this is a sample program of c++, there are no errors in it.

what i don't understand in this is MAGIC NUMBERS. WHAT ACTUALLY IS THIS MAGIC NUMBER?

Can you tell me something related to programming in c++ ?
What exactly are you trying to do? Is this program for a class? If so, then provide the specifications for the assignment. Beyond that, the only magic number is 1.

n = num % 10

returns the remainder of num divided by 10, so anything other than a number that ends in 1 will fail the conditional statement

if(sum==1) ...

Also, any number equal to or higher than 10 will cause the WHILE loop to cycle through two or more times. This causes C to equal 2 or higher, depending on the number of cycles. This causes another conditional statement to fail too.

if(c==1)

If this program is supposed to work some other way, as mentioned I'll need specifications before I can help you any further.

How we write a C/C++ program which creates a Structure named Employee. Your program should ask the user about the number of Employee Records he/she want to enter. After taking input from the user our program should dynamically allocate the memory for the number of Employee Records entered.

Our Program should fulfill the following criteria

•Save each Employee record in a file.

Our Structure of Employee Record should have the following attributes.

1: Employee ID.

2: Employee Name.

3: Pay.

In your code you should use

•File handling mechanism,

oOpen/create a file.

oWrite/append data to the opened file.

oRead Records from the file.

oClose the file.

The following menu of commands should be displayed at the start of our program execution.

Press 'A' or ‘a’ to Add Records

Press 'D' or ‘d’ to Display All Records

Press 'Q' or ‘q’ to Quit

Please enter your choice:a

For example, if the user presses ‘A’ or ‘a’ then our output should be similar to:

Enter the number of Records you want to enter : 2

Enter Employee ID# 123

Enter Employee Name Ali

Enter Pay 6000

Enter Employee ID# 345

Enter Employee Name Ahmed

Enter Pay 7000

if the user presses ‘D’ or ‘d’ then ouroutput should be similar to:

Employee ID# 123

Employee Name Ali

Pay 6000

Employee ID# 345

Employee Name Ahmed

Pay 7000

How we write a C/C++ program which creates a Structure named Employee. our program should ask the user about t
I had this exact same assignment.

const short kMaxNameSize = 20;

struct Employee

{

char name[ kMaxNameSize ];

long id;

float salary;

};

That creates a structure named employee. I'll just mention though you will get a great deal more self-satisfaction if you work something out on your own without getting other people to do all of the work for you.
Reply:Please post the code you have written so far so we can help you with it.

If we just do your homework for you and you hand it in and get caught you'll be in deep trouble. If we help you with your work, but it's still your work, then you'll be Ok and we don't want to get you in trouble.

To practice swimming, you shouldn't jump right away into the ocean, pal! Try practice in small pools first.

Your first problem is your "view". It is like you know what a riffle is good for, and you know the concept of firing a gun, but in practice, it looks like a normal stick or baton to you.

First try to write short pieces of programs. Oblige yourself to forget the conventional way of programming, and try hard to find the classes and objects related to your short problem. Do it over and over until you feel you cannot do without them. Then the great ideas would come to you by themselves!

Good luck

Where can i find C&C materials?

i need to build enough to meet the standards on this website:

http://www.guineapigcages.com/index.htm

i found something on ebay but it seems too expensive! am i crazy? or is this how much it will cost if i buy it all myself in the store?

http://cgi.ebay.com/C-C-2x4-GRID-NEW-CUB...

Where can i find C%26amp;C materials?
C%26amp;C cages are something I would encourage all Guinea pig owners to have. They are basically HUGE cages made of cloroplast (used to make signs) and cubes (used to make shelves). These cages make your Guinea pig pretty active, very healthy, and as happy as can be! You can also create them all to fit the space you have and give your guinea pigs the space they need. I would Look on E-bay for them thats where I looked for my Guinea pigs cage. They are Expensive but most bigger cages are and I spent ALOT on mine for my Pig and my Ferret. Nothing is cheap when having a caged animal. I mean I would say E-bay but I would buy one NOT in the UK I mean if your from the US only get them there b/c shipping is VERY expensive when so far. Already cages are expensive on E-bay when I looked for cages they were. I mean the cages werent that expensive it was the SHIPPING! I would look in stores but your really not going to find a Cheap one. If you have myspace or anything like that there is a thing where you can go and they always have animal stuff for sale or sometimes for free. Its pretty neat you post what you need and what your wanting to spend and the people Msg you thru there. That is one way I did when I was looking for a Ferret/Cage.

Also if you do get one they are suprisingly simple to clean. The best method I have found is to scoop the bedding and newspaper out of the cage and dump it out into a trash can. It usually only took me about 20minutes to do a complete cage cleaning. Once in a while you will need to get a spray bottle and fill it halfway with water and halfway with vinegar the vinegar gets the fleas out and germs it helps alot i give my pets vinegars baths sometimes. You then have to spray the bottom of the cage and wipe with paper towels or whatever you would use.. Good luck. I really think you should get a C%26amp;C cage they make you GP more happier and it gives them more room.
Reply:Where do you live? I have lots of spare materials (I'm in UK). If you are in the UK try Robert May, Kleeneze, B%26amp;Q or Argos (limited stock as they are stopping selling grids).

The materials are much cheaper than a ready-built cage. A store cage costs about £30, wheras these cages cost about £20 (AND they are bigger).
Reply:Aw .. how excellent! My cage is gold, I hope your piggies enjoy it. I had a hard time finding materials also, look in your phonebook under sign shops or sign design and call the places because some won't have coroplast. It should cost somewhere around $20. The cubes can be found at Target, Bed Bath %26amp; Beyond, or a super store like those. Make sure that you take into account their size. Mine were 14.5 inches, and it messed up my whole design. Thankfully I was able to just put the grids inside the box, but it could've been bad. Good Luck on the project!
Reply:I have a two-story C%26amp;C cage for my two guinea pigs and let me first say that they LOVE it and you'll have so much fun watching the guinea pigs play in it. The cage that I made is about 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 feet on each level and is two levels high. The coroplast, two boxes of cubes, materials for a ramp, and some PVC pipe toys ending up costing about $50.00. Buying two boxes of cubes left me with plenty left over. I bought the cubes at Target where they often go on sell and I found them in the area with plastic storage boxes and shelving. The coroplast can be found at many small stores that sell and make signs. I looked up several of them in the phonebook, called around, and ended up at a home-based sign making shop that sold it for cheap in a variety of colors. Good Luck and Have Fun!

Write C/C++ program whre input will an integer N ≤ 100000 and output M ≥ N such that M is a Palindrome Prime.

An integer is said to be a palindrome if it is equal to its reverse. For example, 79197 and 324423 are palindromes.

Write the Algorithm or C program whre input will an integer N, 1 ≤ N ≤ 1000000 and output should be the smallest integer M ≥ N such that M is a prime number and M is a palindrome.

For example, if N is 31 then the answer is 101.

Write C/C++ program whre input will an integer N ≤ 100000 and output M ≥ N such that M is a Palindrome Prime.
i forget the proper c++ syntax, but i will help you with the algorithm

since primes occur less frequently than palindromic numbers, we will test for that property first, to make the program run faster and more efficiently:

Software Testing or C/C++/Java Programming?

I m 24 %26amp; a Engineering Graduate, looking for a career change to software, after 4 yrs in industry. I was suggested my friend to take up software testing so that i could get the job easily. But i m interested in programming, i know c %26amp; c++, Planning to learn JAVA,J2ME, so that i could join software company in 5 months time, but people say i m too ambitious to achieve that goal. So guys please suggest is my goals are just dreams and not reality, what should i do to enter software company at the earliest with decent salary package,

Software Testing or C/C++/Java Programming?
im a software tester at the moment, earning about 10 grand a year (but i am 18 so pay is low). the older testers with more experience got paid about 30 grand a year - which is good. i think you can earn a decent salary as a tester and testing is a growing industry, meaning more jobs should be opening up (although some companies are reluctant to employ testers at the moment.) seeing as you have no experience in computing, testing would be a good way of getting into the industry i think. lots of people i work with dont have a computing degree so youll be fine with regards to that. why not apply to do a programming job? it depends largely on the culture of the company - whether theyre happy to employ some one without much experience if they interview well etc. i would say that testing is REALLY BORING! so unless youve done it and like it stay away.. its very repetitive. the software engineers hate it when they have to do any testing. apply for some software jobs and see what happens - if you dont get one hopefully you should at least get some useful advice. knowing C++ is obviously a big advantage. java, pearl and python are also popular in my company. some of the engineers have learnt these languages on the job. if you cant get a software engineering job, then look into testing. good luck
Reply:I too am a programmer (24) and my primary job is testing. I recommend learning unit testing as it combines testing software with programming, and is a hot skill to have. You'll probably make $30 - $40 grand to start. Eventually they'll let you move up and do more programming, but all the beginning programmers are going to get low level work, it's just the way it is.
Reply:Go for your dreams now, otherwise they will become regrets. Java is Open Source now, so easy to get access to for learning. Get on a Linux box or add Linux to that one and start learning again.

Do not get Micro Linux. That is moving backwards. Get an Open Source project that is supported, like Ubuntu Linux. The way it looks, Microsoft owns 10% of Apple and is now buying into Linux and made a move on SAP this week, so learn while you still allowed or permitted to.
Reply:Learn to program. Then even if you get started with a job in testing, you'll have the options to expand. While testers might eventually earn $40k/year, developers can double that with a bit of experience.

Don't worry about J2ME at all to start with. Once you learn the standard stuff, moving to ME is easy. Also, take your C++ experience and add both Java and C#.NET to. The more versitile you are, the more valuable.
Reply:If you know C and C++, why on earth would you want to learn Java? You can get much better work programming in C++, and produce software of a much higher quality...

The F.C.C. is taking public comments, until Tuesday. Two critical issues are media control and net neutrality.

I'd tell them to reinstate the restrictions they've stripped away the last few years.

But, quite honestly, its not going to do any good--the current FCC people are controlled by the media supercorporations. They will take any and all public comments and trash them, then implement whatever deal they've made this time.

It'll be at least until after the 2008 election before we'll have a real chance to do something about this.

If you're thinking about picking him up, then I say do it and drop Diop. You've already got 2 quality centers and Diop is only an alright PF. McDyess has more upside than Diop and he's been play well of late. Try it out for a week or two. Since Diop is riding your bench, you don't have anything to really lose.

Shall I take C#/C++ or Visual Basic for AVR Programming?

Hi,

I am currently studying the AVR microcontroller in assembly but would like to learn a high level language that in the future would help me in programming microcontrollers too. Perhaps it would be simpler for me to do so in a HLL too.

Would you suggest C#/C++ or Visual Basic?

How are PLC compilers for these languages if in the future I also switch to PLCs? Are they worth using?

Shall I take C#/C++ or Visual Basic for AVR Programming?
well since you do assembly then learning any other of the said languages will be easy for you, given your situation I'd say go for C/C++!
Reply:I highly recommend C++, it might not be the easiest to start with, but it's range of capability is immense. You can do anything with it.
Reply:Visual Basic = no

C++, it will save you a lot of time and grief. Visual Basic teaches young programmers the wrong kind of habits that can make learning other languages very hard. C++ works on EVERYTHING, yes, everything.

I want to do a project in C / C++. can anybody give me a good project in C/C++?
There are no specific projects available in instititions readily in C/C++.There r some Govt organizations like DRDO offering projects on C/C++ but they r tough to handle(e.g., Missiile navigation systems.Motio monitoring systems etc).You need to have excellent idea about language semantics.If u know C, C++ and VC++ best take Yashwant Kanitkar books like C Projects, C++ projects and VC++ Projects and try to solve problems in that books.You r not mentioned what %26amp; where u r studying.Otherwise goto www.gnu.org.Here u may find lots of C/C++/VC++ Projects.But they r H/W oriented. U should good command over PC H/W. There r still other issues that ANSI/ISO C99 and C++99 standard etc.I think u got required details.If u still have issues post a mail to me i'll clarify all the details

Reply:My opinion is to write programs in c and the same programs in c++.
Reply:Yes there are lots of projects that you can search over the net. If you are into games then create a Chess program that a human can play vs the computer.
Reply:Well, do you want compensation for it?
Reply:Well, practically you can do a project on anything! infact, for starting up you can find n number of projects on the net too - from which you can get an idea. But you need to be specific as to what you're looking for - cryptology, nw related GUI based, etc.

I remember doing couple of projects in my college years in C++ The first one was a graphical neural network simulator, a C++ IDE, firewall for Linux... so there are abundant of topics you can do a project on. You can even do OS specific projects like writing a driver for a specific device for an operating system. You can ask you're seniors what were their topics and get an idea too.

If you want to do more then just know the syntax you should probably also check out "Effective C++" by Scott Meyers. Java and C++ may have similar syntax, but the garbage collector makes using them effectively very different.

What is a C/C Fee?
Are you buying a condo? It could be your Homeowner's Association Fee. Condo/Covenants fee? It is what the Condo Association charges each month for various upkeep such as cutting grass, maintaining the clubhouse, pool, trash pickup fees, and a portion of it goes toward a reserve fund. In case repairs need to be made to the grounds or structure or common areas. To be sure, ask your loan originator or Realtor.

'source code' 2 'native code'---, C/C++ and C#. Plz read detail below?

I know .NET Languages compile to IL 1st, then JIT is used at runtime.....

1)Do the user of a .NET application will need to install JIT first 2 use this app. Is JIT accompanied with some version of windows??

2)In C, where codes of functions like printf() are located,

3)Is compilation of languages which are not .NET languages follow these steps

source code-%26gt;assembly(like IL)-%26gt;JIT(of C 4 example)-%26gt;RunTime of that language???

'source code' 2 'native code'---, C/C++ and C#. Plz read detail below?
1 is not correct. JIT isn't a 'thing' it's more of a concept, meaning 'just in time'. The .NET languages compile to MSIL (Microsoft Intermediate Language). The MSIL is then changed to machine code 'just in time' to run it. The machine code is transient, meaning it doesn't exist for any longer than it is needed. It must be created eventually because processors can't run anything but machine code, but there's no reason to store the program in machine code like we used to, because machine code is very processor-specific. This gives .NET programs the advantage of running on many different processors, including those that haven't been invented yet (pretty cool, huh). The .NET runtime is a special program that creates this machine code, and it is processor-specific, which is why there are different versions for 64-bit machines, and why .NET stuff can run on Linux and MAC in theory. Your MSIL is the same no matter what, and so is your source code. This is similar to the way Java works... Java source is compiled into "bytecode" which is analogous to MSIL code.

2. In C, functions like printf() are contained in libraries, and that's why you have to say #include "stdio.h" ... because you must "include" that library in your final (machine code) output.

3. Compilation of other languages takes many forms. Some languages are compiled all the way down to machine code, and some languages (like Javascript) are never compiled, just executed directly from the source code. Other languages like Java and .NET languages are compiled to "something in between" source code and machine code. Processors can not execute anything but machine code, so all languages are eventually converted to that, but the timing of that process varies widely from one language to the next.
Reply:1. The answer is above

2. the code is located in Run-time library. That is NOT why you have to say #include "stdio.h", however. #include is just the easiest way to inform compiler about the runtime functions format (function name, return type and parameters) but it is possible to modify any program that it will not have any includes at all but work exactly as it worked with includes. Actually, it is what is made by preprocessor before the compilation. Runtime can be linked with your program either statically (your program gets slightly bigger, but doesn't require any external dlls to run) or dynamically (smaller programs, but it becomes necessary to install apropriate dlls before programs can be started).

3. If you're talking about "native" languages (like C and C++), then AFAIK, no. There's no need in the second and the third steps in native compilation.

How much is C&C cage?

We are planning to make a 10.5 - 13 sq feet do you know how much is the coroplast for it and the cubes? And the total cost for the C%26amp;C cage

How much is C%26amp;C cage?
The cubes, depending upon where you buy them, will cost $20-$25 per box.

When I last bought a sheet of Coroplast it was $20 and eight feet by four feet (8x4) in size. You will need at least this size to make a two feet by five feet (2x5) cage with six inch high sides.

The total cost for one cage should be around $50 including tax.

I'm so glad you're giving your piggies a great environment!
Reply:I think it would be $50-60.
Reply:Your planning on making a big cage, that could fit 4 little piggers!! The total cost changes from place to place, but it is roughly $50.

If you join the following forum, you will probably get quite a few answers:

http://www.guineapigcages.com/forum/

You need to scroll down a bit to get to the main page, then you choose your category (cages in your case), click on it and then click on start a new thread. You will need to sign up prior to posting any questions/answers.
Reply:Mine is a 10.5 sq ft one. It cost me about 35$$ but it depends on where you live. I got the cubes for 15$$ and the coroplast for 20$$. He even cut it for free, it was very simple to make, how many piggies are you doing it for though, I have two in a 10.5 and they love it but 13 sq ft could hold 4 piggies.
Reply:thats what i want to do for my guinea pigs! what are u using it for?
Reply:Well, I have a C%26amp;C cage that is shared by my 3 guinea pigs, and one box of panels were $20, and a large sheet of chloroplast was $10. The price really depends on where you live and where you buy your materials, though. The cost shouldn't come over $50 or $60, unless you want multiple boxes of panels or sheets of chloroplast.

Good luck!

How to write c/c++ program using curses for patterns?

Write a C/C++ program using the curses library that traces out patterns on the terminal screen. Your program should read characters from a file (until the end of file) and perform an action depending on the character just read. If the character is a :

'u': display '*' on the row above the current location, same column

'd': display '*' on the row below the current location, same column

'l': display '*' on the colum to the left of the current location, same row

'r': display '*' on the colum to the right of the current location, same row

At the start, the first '*' is always displayed at the center of the terminal screen.

Ask the user for the filename to read from.

d. a, b, c %26lt; 0

e. b^2 - 4ac %26lt; 0

How do you write a c program to calculate the roots of the 2nd order equation: ax^2+bx+c?
See the wikipedia article below for information about quadratic (i.e. 2nd order) equations. It describes the quadratic formula. The most common way to write a computer program for this task is to write a C version of the quadratic equation.

Then test, test test! Test each of the special cases, as well as more "normal" cases.

Not too difficult to write the C++ for it (I don't have my last set of code around - that was a couple of years back, but it took me about 2 days to get an entire class setup for the project)

Please help! Aluminum metal melts at 660 degrees C and boils at 2450 degrees C. Its density is 2.70 grams/cc.?
A) The atomic mass of Al is 26.98 gm/mol, so 20 kg of Al consists of

(20*10^3 gm)/(26.98 gm/mol) = 741.29 mol

The ideal gas law is:

P*v = n*R*T

where P is the pressure

V is the volume

R is the universal gas constant = 62.3637 (liter*torr)/(mol*K)

T is the absolute temperature

n is the number of moles

So, V = n*R*T/P

V = (741.29 mol)*(62.3637 liter*torr/(mol*K))*(2450+273.... K)/(2280 torr)

V = 55214.9 liters

---------

B) Assuming the density you were given (2.7 gm/cm^3) is for a temperature of 25 C, then the volume occupied by 1000 kg of Al at 25 C would be:

(1000*10^3 gm)/(2.7 gm/cm^3) = 3.704*10^5 cm^3 = 0.3704 m^3

---------

C) 10 kilomoles of Al equals

(10*10^3 mol)*26.98 gm/mol) = 269.8 kg = 2.698*10^5 gm Al

Assuming the heat capacity is a constant over the temperature range 250 - 500 C (not a particularly good assumption -- the heat capacity is itself a function of temperature), then the heat required to raise the temperature of 10 kilomoles of Al from 250 to 500 C is:

Q = (2.698*10^5 gm) (500C - 250C) * 0.89 J/(gm*C) = 6.003*10^7 J = 60.03 MJ

----------

D) The net reaction for the dissolution of Al metal in a solution of HCl is:

Al(s) + 3H+(aq) = Al3+(aq) + 1.5H2(g)

13.5 gm of Al is

(13.5 gm)/(26.98 gm/mol) = 0.482 mol Al

each mole of Al produces 1.5 moles of H2 gas, so the dissolution of 0.482 moles of Al would produce 1.5 * 0.5mol = 0.75 mol H2.

You should know that at STP, one mole of an ideal gas occupies 22.4 liters, so 0.75 mol of H2 would occupy:

22.4 liter * 0.75 = 16.80 liters

If you didn't know that 1 mole of ideal gas occupies 22.4 liters at STP, then you can use the ideal gas law to calculate the volume:

V = (0.75 mol)*(62.3637 liter*torr/mol*K)*(273.15 K)/(760 torr)

V = 16.8 liters

Note that if you plug in 1 mol instead of 0.75 mol in the above equation and calculate the volume, you will prove that 1 mole of an ideal gas occupies a volume of 22.414 liters.
Reply:A. 20,000g / 26.98g/mol = 741.3 mol

V= nRT/P= 741.3 mol * 8.314 J/molK * (2450+273)K / {2280torr / 760(torr/atm) * 101,325 (Pa/atm)} after all the stuff cancels, you get:

V=55.21 cubic meters

B. 1000 kg = 1,000,000 grams. Since it's solid at this T, use the solid density of 2.70 g/cc:

V=mass/density =1,000,000g/2.70g/cc = 370,400 cc or 370 liters

C. E=mc(delta T) = (10 Kmol )(0.89 J/gC)(500-250C) (1000 mol/Kmol)(26.98 g/mol) = 60,030,000 J = 60 MJ

D. 13.5 g / 26.98g/mol = 0.500 mol

The balanced equation is:

2Al + 6HCl ~%26gt; 2AlCl3 + 3H2

Assuming that all of aluminum reacts we should get (3/2)(0.500mol) = 0.75mol of H2 gas...(the 3/2 is from stoichiometry of Al to H2)

V = nRT/P = (0.75 mol) * (0.082057 L-atm/mol/K) * (273 K)/ 1atm = 16.8 L

or alternately, you can say that at STP, 1 mol of idea gas has volume of 22.4L, then 0.75 moles have volume of 16.8L

A problem of C/C++ programming language........?

Is there any web site where I can search any C/C++ program????

A problem of C/C++ programming language........?
Search existing programs? Google Code Search. If you're asking about learning, that's a different question.
Reply:I have observed in yahoo answers that there are people who are in need of such basic programs. For those I am going to create a blog with the simple c, c++ programs written in TurboC. The blog will be up within one week. Keep in touch.

Separation compilation problem ; C/C++?

I'm just beginner in c++ and seek for help. I learn about separate compilation.Try to observe files below:

need to make your functions public.
Reply:Kai says he's not going to answer that question
Reply:Just two hints. 1. C++ object members are private by default, not public. 2. When you use multiple files look up the extern key word.

I won't say any more, lest this be for a class.

Doesn't a C&C cage for guinea pigs need a top!?

I want a guinea pig but all the cages at petstore are WAY too small! So i thought I should build my own C%26amp;C cage! But wouldn't need a top! I went to cavycages.com and they showed me how to make on but there is no top to it wouldn't they climb out!?

Doesn't a C%26amp;C cage for guinea pigs need a top!?
No guinea pigs aren't rats or mice - they can't climb. Unless you have step type things leading up to the top, there is no way it can get out; they are ground dwellers and have no urge to climb. However, if you own any other pets like cats or dogs or you have small children in the house, a lid is probably best to prevent other animals from getting into your cage.

Otherwise C%26amp;C cages work really well - good job on researching!
Reply:Nope I have 10 guinea pigs in C%26amp;C cages and never had an escapee :) It'll be safe, as long as you don't have other pets.

I have heard of it happening once however, but that's once out of all the thousands of people who have these cages.
Reply:No, guinea pigs can't climb out of things! They can't really jump either.
Reply:Good for you for building a C%26amp;C cage! They are the very best habitats for guinea pigs.

Unless you have other predatory animals in the house (cat, dog, ferret) or small children that may try to grab the piggie, it doesn't need a top. The piggie will not be able to climb over it and piggies don't jump.

If you need to build a top, use two pieces of wire shelving %26amp; secure it with nylon zip ties. Go to this link %26amp; click on the picture that says "closed cages". You'll see what I mean about the shelving tops.

http://www.guineapigcages.com/types.htm

Good luck!
Reply:Unless you have any animals in the home that you are unsure if they could harm them then no. The sides are around 12 inches high and guinea pigs are not climbing rodents.
Reply:Yes it needs a lid they may not look like it but they can escape easily without a lid.
Reply:Just to be safe, make sure there is a lid, especially if you are going to have other objects in the cage to climb on.
Reply:A lid would be safe, but most guinea pigs will hang around their home anyways.
Reply:....IDK, not sure.

Well I don't thing this can be done automatically by a program because C and Basic are languages of a different level. So you must rewrite the code in C. Anyway I'm not sure I understood your question ):
Reply:I don't think you can do this by any program

rewrite it use basic maybe the only way you could do/

!!All C/C++ programmers should click here!!?

Which is a better compiler----Dev C++ or Microsoft Visual Express 2008?

Why?

Which one do you use?

Can you please explain me classes?

The most exhaustive answer gets 10 points!

(But dont just copy-paste frm another website coz i will be putting the thing in quotation marks to Google it)

!!All C/C++ programmers should click here!!?
Dev C++ isn't a compiler. It is an IDE. It uses MINGW, which is based off of GCC.

So are we talking compiler or IDE? With that said, Microsoft latest compilers 2005 and 2008 are excellent, and they are ANSI compliant, so that argument about being proprietary is bs. Sure you can down that path, but you are not required. The only quirk I have found between the two was in a student's program, where when compiled in Dev-C++ it caused the OS to throw an exception, and it didn't in Microsoft. My conclusion was based on the code, that Microsoft compiler initialized the variable with 0, and thus prevented the exception; whereas, GCC didn't. You can look at this as either good or bad.

Now as far as IDEs, Visual C++ is slower to load, but beyond that it is far superior to Dev-C++, especially when it comes to debugging. The debugger in Dev-C++ is still problematic. The intellisense in Dev-C++ is also much slower than that with Visual C++.

I personally usually have more than one compiler, and have both of these installed, plus some others, but if you were only going to go with one I would go with Microsoft's. I also find Visual Studio's error messages to be more verbose and precise.

Classes are only part of C++, and not C. They are used to support object-oriented programming. Object-oriented programming is programming in which data and the particular functions that perform work on that data are combined into structures called classes that act as a blueprint to make objects.

Classes are very similiar to structures. In object-oriented programming, you make objects. For example, you can make a class called Car. This car has variables to hold the make, model, and year of the car in the class. It also has methods or functions to perform operations on that class or change the data or state of that class. From this class Car, objects can be created. For the most part a class is a complex data type, just like int, bool, char. An object is an instance of the data type. It is like a variable name that is declared.(eg. int x)
Reply:I use Visual Studio because friend and foe agree that it's by far the best IDE out there. Admittedly, MS does not completely adhere to all standards (it's spelled 'proprietary' btw) but if you as a programmer are knowledgeable you can always force yourself to abide to standards.

And if you want a light footed compiler that adheres to standards, you should go for gcc... :-)
Reply:i use Dev C++ i tend to avoid Microsoft's propriatery stuff...

Microsoft usually adds their own set of garbage into the mix. Dev C++ has a much lighter footprint and is fully-functional.
Reply:I use Dev always have done and always will,

1) Good gui

2) It is not microsoft

I have it on my 2 desktops and my laptop, it is light and works on most OS even the old 95-Me for windows
Reply:When I was trying to learn C (I didn't get very far), I used dev C++

If C doesn't work out for you, try to learn BASIC. Yes, BASIC is old, but it's easy to learn.

Command and conquers c&c generals problem?

Hi i have C%26amp;C generals but a few days ago the problem started.Everytime i start a game,skirmish,gla,china,usa,training anything after about 1 minute or at my average quick speed after i build my 4th building.every single thing i own on my team blows up.this is very weird.this happens with and without cheats.

Command and conquers c%26amp;c generals problem?
As previous answer unistall, reinstall, update patches, turn off / change virus protection settings.

There's more hints/tips on the EA website

i had to turn off nearly everything in the systray at one point.

If your'e playing a network gem you're network settings need changing. sorry i can't be more specific, it's sometime since I had to alter the settings.

Had the same problem with Yuri's Revenge.

Look at the support at EA
Reply:Try reloading ther game, uninstal this version then reboot.

What is a "C&C Cage?"?

It just seems like everyone is talking about the "C%26amp;C Cage." What is it? I know that you can house a guinea pig in it, but, other then that, what does it look like? Any links, pictures or ANYTHING will be appreciated! Thanks, Oh, and, BEST ANSWER IS INCLUDED! Thanks,

~ Hound Lover

What is a "C%26amp;C Cage?"?
I made a C%26amp;C cage for my GP's. C%26amp;C means Cubes %26amp; Chloroplast. They are cheap, easy, and the healthiest gp cage there is as they are spacious and don't have wire bottoms. http://www.guineapigcages.com/

This is what they look like: http://www.guineapigcages.com/types.htm

This is how to build them: http://www.guineapigcages.com/howto.htm

They are wonderful cages not only because the piggies love them but also because you can get creative while building them!
Reply:C%26amp;C stands for cubes and chloroplast. and they are perfect cause you can build the cage. you can make it however you want.
Reply:c%26amp;c stands for cubes and coroplast. the cubes are square grids with conectors that come in a pack with a few. coroplast is a kind of plastic that you get in very large sheets from a sign store. here is a page with everything about them and how to make them

http://www.guineapigcages.com/cubes.htm
Reply:A C%26amp;C cage is a Cubes and Coroplast cage. They are mainly used for guinea pigs.

http://www.guineapigcages.com/cubes.htm
Reply:A C%26amp;C cage stands for cubes and coroplast (or corflute, the name tends to change depending on where you live). At the moment it is probably the best thing going in terms of housing guinea pigs especially considering that pet store and commercial cages tend to be wayy to small. It is cheap, easy to build, modify and clean.

The home page talks about the correct size cage that you should have. Basically, 7.5sq ft for 1 guinea pig, guinea pigs are herd animals thus why they should be housed in pairs, 2 guinea pigs need a 10.5sq ft cage.

http://www.guineapigcages.com/index.htm

Pros and cons plus what shops sell cubes and coroplast can be found here.

http://www.guineapigcages.com/cubes.htm

One of the beauties about a C%26amp;C cage is that you can have different styles and types, closed and open to name a couple. There are also different materials that can be used instead of cubes and coroplast, plus things that you should not do.

http://www.guineapigcages.com/types.htm

There are 3 simple steps that should be taken to make a C%26amp;C cage.

1. Connect the cubes together using either the connectors or cable tyres

2. Cut, score, fold and tape the coroplast together making an effective rectangle or square shape

3. Place your coroplast box into the cubes

http://www.guineapigcages.com/howto.htm

Another great thing about the C%26amp;C cage is that you can add things like ramps, upper decks and hay racks to personalise your cage.

http://www.guineapigcages.com/options.ht...

Extra pre-cautions can be taken to prevent kids, cats and dogs from getting to the guinea pigs.

http://www.guineapigcages.com/safety.htm

The only thing left to do is to find the materials. This can be done by using the material locator:

http://www.guineapigcages.com/where.htm

OR by buying a pre-made ready to go C%26amp;C cage.

http://www.guineapigcages.com/buycc.htm

Photos can be found here;

http://www.guineapigcages.com/photos/ind...

So basically a C%26amp;C cage is a cage that can be made at home, it is big and probably the best cage out there for guinea pigs.
Reply:I've been trying to work this out for a while :D

All I've gathered is people can make them, not shop bought. Not sure if that's always the case.

Been wondering if i's an american term, with me being a UKer.

Edit; I get it now! =) Meh, my guinea's had the end 3rd of a british garage all the time, and when we were in (there were neighbourhood cats) they had free run of about a 12, maybe 14 (or bigger, don't remember) feet square walled garden! Yes, they were happy piggies. :D
Reply:http://www.guineapigcages.com/cubes.htm
Reply:C%26amp;C stand for Cubes and Coraplast.. "cubes" is like the wall of the cage so they cant escape and "coraplast" is the bottom of the cage. So you do make the cage with cubes and coraplast because the pet stores ones are horrible there too small. You get the cubes and coraplast at any regular store and its really cheap and you can make it really creative and stuff. that the main part but please check out the website about the C%26amp;C cages

www.guineapigcages.com
Reply:http://www.mgpr.org/MGPR/PigCages.htm shows a picture and a explanation of exactly what it is.
Reply:Cubes %26amp; Choroplast.

Go to cavycages.com

They explain where to get the materials and how to build one. Also give measurements for how big each one should be. If you check out their forums, they have a ton of pics of different sizes and shapes. A lot of people do themed cages.
