Value of c/c++ professionals in future?

hi every one i am a engineering graduate(fresher) ... from india ... i have been offered a job in c/c++ profile where i will be workin on voip protocols ... the company name is pandoranetworks (pandoranetworks.com) .... i would like to know the future of workin in that field ... which are the companies which work on that field ... pls give me some advice...

Reply:C and C++ are one of the most basic but very powerful programming languages. If you are a good programmer in C/C++ other programming languages are much easier to follow. Most major industries use C. Well, if you have experience with working in C, then you definately will possess a advantage over others.
Reply:C/C++ is the heart of most of the device drivers, VOIP Protocols... most of the low level stuffy (i mean near to the hardware is written in C/C++).





Any experience in C/C++ is good and holds a lot of weighted... as far as companies are concerned.... companies like Google, Yahoo, L%26amp;T, TCS, InfoSys employ C/C++ professionals on a regular basis... so you see the scope that you will have with C/C++.
