Martinscages and c&c cages cost way too much?

I really want 2 guinea pigs, but i need to saze money to buy them, if i get a c%26amp;c cage it will cost like 96 but martinscages cost 114, thats what ive read that two guinea pigs need this much space(its the most expensive one martins got!!! can this one hold 2 guinea pigs 30" x 18" x 16" or this one 36" x 24" x 14" cause im NOT getting the only one bigger, which is the guinea pig condo, these are the deluxe and super deluxe, if you guys say no, then wow, i would like to get the smaller one, if it will work, cause the super deluxe costs 92 for the 30 X 24

and 59 for the deluxe 30X 18, so i wopuld get the deluxe one probably, but is it big enough for 2 guinea pigs?

For their own welfare and good health, two guinea pigs need at least 7.5 square feet of space. (If you get two males they will need even more).

Cages with smaller floor space with more than one level are not appropriate. Guinea pigs are ground dwelling animals and need enough space on one level to be able to run laps and popcorn.

A 36" x 24" cage is not big enough. The 30" x 18" is far too small.

Making your own c+c cage should be much cheaper than anything you can buy in a store.

Ask around local sign shops for coroplast at a reasonable price. If you really can't find it you can use lino instead.

Then find grids at places like home depot, or you can use shelving panels.

I have a c+c and highly recommend them. They are one of the few cages big enoug, and are cheap and easy to build. Good luck!
Reply:You should easily be able to build a C%26amp;C for under $50. The cubes are $20 at Target. Call different sign shops for the coroplast sheets. You should be able to get one for under $25, especially if they have an odd colored one or one with a stain or something.
Reply:honestly, make a c%26amp;c cage im sure at your local hardware store you can find the supplies, the minimum amount of space you need for 2 guinea pigs is a 2x4 cage, that will be 12 grids, this will cost you 25-30 dollars, the coroplast for a 2x4 will probably cost around maybe 25 dollars but will probably be much cheaper

The total for this will only be at most 55 DOLLARS, probably cheaper depending where you buy your materials. if you dont have a store where you can buy the materials, im sure there is a larger city in the vacinity of where you live, as i said in your other question i had to drive 3 and a half hours away to get my materials, but it will be much cheaper if you build it yourself rather than ordering online because the shipping will cost a LOT.

the deluxe one will cost you 59 dollars PLUS shipping and it doesnt seem that big, and the super one which is only slightly comparable to the C%26amp;C cage will cost you 81 dollars PLUS shipping, it will be cheaper in the end if you just make your own C%26amp;C cage
