...(1, 3), (2, 4), (3, 6). What is the value of C?
C=?
Calculus question... Suppose the parabola given by the equation y=A+B(x-1)+C(x-1)(x-2) contains the points...?
then 3 = A, 4 = A+B, A+2B+2C = 6
so B = 4 - A = 1, 2C = 6-A-2B = 6-3-2 = 1
C = 1/2
Reply:Using the point (1, 3) we get 3 = A + 0 B + 0 C, so A = 3
Using the point (2, 4) we get 4 = 3 + B + 0C so B = 1
Finally, using (3, 6) we get 6 = 3 + 2 + 2*1*C, so C = 1/2
