Which of the following are chemical changes? A. Rusting of a nail B. Boiling of water C. Melting of aluminum D
A. is a chemcal change

the other are physical changes, strictly speaking
Reply:A only. The rest are physical changes.
Reply:A only
Reply:I think you forgot to write what D is, but even so the answer the A (A only). "Rusting" is caused by oxidation; the iron in the nail is reacting with oxygen in the air, and hence is a chemical change.

Boiling water is a physical change; it's a change of state from a liquid into a vapour (or gas).

Melting aluminum is another change of state, going from a solid into a liquid.
Reply:a only
Reply:A- chemical change

b and c- physical change... they can be reversed.
